Announcement of Commemorative Exhibition for Satoru Hayashi, Special Honorary Professor and Former Director of GIGEIIN, Designated as a Holder of Important Intangible Cultural Property (“Kyushitsu”)


An exhibition commemorating the designation of Satoru Hayashi, Special Honorary Professor and former Director of GIGEIIN, as a Holder of Important Intangible Cultural Property (“Kyushitsu”: The lacquer art technique) will be held at the Toyama University Art and Design Library Gallery “Cube”.

This exhibition features representative works by Satoru Hayashi, Special Honorary Professor, alongside lacquer artworks by Hitomi Shintani, Lecturer and member of GIGEIIN, and Taro Ogawa, Lecturer in the Faculty of Art and Design.
Additionally, on the opening day, an opening ceremony including a gallery talk and a dialogue with craft historian Kenichi Terao will be held.
